Rondo Games — Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Rondo Games ("Rondo", "we", "us") collects, uses,
and shares information when you use the Rondo: Multiplayer & Chat mobile application
(the "App"), available on Google Play, the Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery, and the
online game services provided at rondoapps.com. This policy applies regardless of which store
you installed the App from; store-specific details are called out where they differ.
The short version
- No registration. You never provide an email address, phone number, real name, or password. An anonymous account is created automatically using a random identifier.
- No location, no contacts. The App does not access your precise location, contact list, microphone, or files (other than a photo you explicitly pick as your avatar).
- Avatar photos never leave your device. If you choose a photo as your avatar, it is stored only in the App's private storage on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- We do not sell your data.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Anonymous account data
When you first launch the App, it generates a random installation identifier (a UUID created on your device — not a hardware identifier) and uses it to create an anonymous player account on our game server. We assign you a random display name and a user ID. You can change your display name and avatar at any time in your Profile.
1.2 Profile data
- Your chosen display name and preset avatar selection, stored on our servers and visible to other players (in matches, friends lists, groups, and leaderboards).
- An optional avatar photo, if you pick or take one. The photo is processed and stored only on your device, in the App's private storage. It is never transmitted to our servers or shown to other players.
1.3 Social features
To provide multiplayer and social features, our servers store:
- your friends list and friend invitations;
- your group memberships and group chat messages (including stickers);
- in-match messages (stickers) exchanged during games;
- reports/complaints you submit about other players or content, including the content you report.
Friend-invite links you share contain your username. Anyone who receives the link can see it and send you a friend request.
1.4 Gameplay data
- Match history and results, game statistics, and skill ratings (Elo).
- Leaderboards are visible to other players and show your display name, avatar, and rating.
1.5 Purchases
In-app purchases (coin packs) are processed by the billing system of the store you installed the App from — Google Play Billing, Apple's App Store (StoreKit), or Huawei IAP. We never receive your payment card details. We receive a purchase receipt/token, which our server validates with the store to credit your in-app coin balance. Your coin wallet balance and transaction history are stored on our servers.
1.6 Analytics and crash reporting
We use analytics and crash-reporting services to understand aggregate usage and fix bugs:
- Google Play and App Store versions: Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.
- Huawei AppGallery version: HMS Analytics Kit and AppGallery Connect Crash.
These services collect device information (model, OS version, language), app version, coarse usage events (e.g. which screens and games are opened), and crash logs. Analytics data is associated with your anonymous player user ID, not with your real-world identity.
1.7 Advertising
The App may show interstitial ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Play and App Store versions) or Huawei Ads (AppGallery version). These ad networks may process device identifiers (such as your device's advertising identifier) to serve, limit, and measure ads, under their own privacy policies:
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Huawei: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/privacy/privacy-policy/
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier and opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. On iOS, the App will only access the advertising identifier for cross-app tracking if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized based on cross-app activity.
1.8 Notifications
With your permission, the App may show notifications (e.g. about matches and social activity). You can withdraw this permission at any time in system settings, or disable notifications in the App's Profile settings.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- operate the game service: matchmaking, online play, friends, groups, chat, leaderboards;
- keep game results fair (our servers, not the players' devices, decide online match outcomes);
- credit and maintain your in-app coin balance and purchase history;
- moderate the service and act on player reports;
- diagnose crashes and improve stability and performance;
- understand aggregate feature usage to improve the App;
- show ads that fund the free game service.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users): performance of a contract (providing the game service you request), our legitimate interests (service integrity, moderation, analytics, fraud prevention), and consent where required (e.g. notifications, personalized ads).
3. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that host and support the App: Google Cloud Platform (game server hosting), Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting), Google AdMob / Huawei Ads (advertising), and Google Play / Apple App Store / Huawei AppGallery (billing and distribution).
- Other players, limited to what the service shows by design: your display name, preset avatar, rating, match activity, and the messages/stickers you send.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.
4. Data retention and deletion
- Server-side data (account, profile, friends, groups, messages, match history, wallet) is kept while your account is active.
- Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data (including any avatar photo and the random installation identifier) but does not delete your server-side account data.
- To request deletion of your account and associated server-side data, contact us at support@rondoapps.com. We will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we must retain records (e.g. purchase records) to comply with law.
5. Children
The App is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described above, and the App has no registration, so we never ask anyone — including children — for contact details or a real name. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through chat, or you want a child's account deleted, contact us at support@rondoapps.com and we will delete it.
6. Security
Traffic between the App and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS. Server-side match logic is authoritative, which also limits what a modified client can do. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.
7. International transfers
Our servers are hosted on Google Cloud Platform. If you use the App from outside the hosting region, your data will be transferred to and processed in that region. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rondoapps.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or in the store listing.
