How to play
The goal
Control more of the board than your opponent when the game ends: your territory plus the stones you captured.
Stones and liberties
Players alternate placing stones on empty intersections. A group with no empty neighbouring points is captured and removed. You may not repeat the previous position (ko), nor fill your own last liberty.
Ending the game
Two passes in a row end the game. Dead stones are settled and the board is counted; White receives komi to offset Black's first move.

Yes. Every game on Rondo is free to play. Coins and cosmetics are optional and never change the rules.

No. Install the app and tap Go; a profile is created for you. You can link a Google or Apple account later to keep it across devices.
